I initially dated my scribblings, going way back to the 1980s when I first thought I might quite enjoy the creative processes......but for some reason over the years more or less abandoned the practice, so I have absolutely no idea when most were written.

Still, I don't suppose it really matters in the scheme of things.

There's a chance that one or two of the pictures were from the second day, somewhere near Malton, but it's a few years ago now...

And lo it came to pass, that the good people who follow the minkhounds did see Wainstalls and thought it was good. The lord of that district did decree that they might bring these hounds to see what they might do....

My favourite picture of the day, Dr Grom & Uncle Melvin....

They did find, but there was no scent, even though it passed me by only a few feet away, hounds simply couldn't take the line.

It'll never catch on....

"Hundith Hill"

For many years our base for our visits to Lorton.

I might have got the year wrong, but think it was 2005. We had a day without a meet so took the beagles up to the coast, with Scotland in the distance....It was sunny, obviously, but fresh to put it mildly.

This last picture is probably the best of these lot, and the hound in the foreground is Willful, heading for a cosy retirement courtesy of some very good friends.
